Our August 4 First‑Time Homebuyer Bootcamp was a great success, bringing fourteen local residents together for an evening of clear, practical guidance on the homebuying process. Carlos Lucero and Patricia Lewis broke down budgeting, credit basics, loan types, and pre‑approval in a way that really connected with attendees, and the introduction to Housing NM’s FirstHome and FirstDown programs was a standout moment. REALTOR® Cassie Carver shared helpful tips on searching for homes, writing strong offers, and negotiating with confidence, and the full‑panel Q&A wrapped up the night with honest, supportive answers. Attendees left feeling more prepared and more confident about their homeownership journey. Huge thanks to our partners at the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments, Silver City Regional Association of REALTORS®, and the Copper Collaborative for helping make this event possible.
